WCC flow rate disinformation? by Bill W on Fri, Jul 30

Went and fished the WCC Thursday night, planned on starting after they supposedly cut the flows from 1200 to 450 cfs at 6pm. The water never came down until almost 8 pm, then the fish put the feed bag on and I had a pretty awesome night, but only for an hour or so. Did they really cut the flows to 450 at 6pm as stated, or was there something else going on? Last couple times they've done this simlar flow schedule, the water has dropped in about a half hour to more wadeable conditions, but this seemed like someone forgot to cut the flow at 6pm.

Due to all the rain the other nite,(I should know i was there)there was probley some spill over from the reservoir, thats my guess. You should check both water sites USGS & Waterline I do all the time. USGS site lists both downstream (Kast bridge)& upstream (Wilmurt) above the reservoir, as well as any other site in New York(http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ny/nwis/rt) As you already know waterline site is not the best at its info. Hope this helps!
