Gillie lake? by Brad Stalter on Wed, Jun 30

Hey has any one had any success with bass in gillie lake in camillus? I have gone a few time and only caught small rainbows. While the rainbows are fun i really want to hook into some hard fighting bass.

brad,
there is hardly any bass in there. last year it was great for bass but when they drained it they all died same with the thousands of sunfish in there...i dont know how long those rainbows are gonna make it in there...when you pick one up you can tell the water is just way to warm for trout. will see what happens to them i guess.

Hi,
I fished there last fall. I was using some hair-bugs (frogs, etc) and some rather large bluegill AND bass were slamming it.
I never knew there were rainbows in there. I'm assuming they are stocked?
Also, when did they drain the lake?
