That's why the stream shouldn't be stocked or at the very least a 2 or 3 mile special reg area of catch and release only fishing. It's sad Ninemile gets stocked with so many fish each year.

Joe:

- Now you know why myself and others want the DEC to quit stocking over the wild trout in this stream, and implement catch and release regulations.

- Imagine being able to catch and release 20, 30, 40 or more of these wild fish per 8 hour day, on a regular basis. Such is the true potential of Nine Mile Creek.

- Unfortunately, I am moving back to Pennsylvania next Thursday (April 15th), so not much more I can do here in NY, other than pass the torch to you.

OK, I'm convinced. I'm ashamed to admit it but I haven't fished 9mile. I've had such good success fishing Limestone and Chitt that I haven't ventured west to fish. So where would be a good spot to start?
Thanks

Has the stocking or catch and release issue come up at any chapter TU meetings? I travel for work during the week and I am not able too make the meetings which are usually mid-week. But I do have a good contact at the national office. If you all think we can build momentum for c and r regulations I am game and would see what kind of national support we can get.
